In her latest album release, Gila Goldstein performs piano works by Latin American composers—true musical gems in which the Israeli-born, New York-based pianist showcases a deep understanding and sensitivity for the music of our continent.
The album features music by Argentine composers Carlos Guastavino and Astor Piazzolla (including her own transcription of Oblivion), Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, Mexican composer Manuel Ponce, and Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.
Latin American Piano Gems was recorded under the Centaur label and is available on all digital platforms.

Pianist Gila Goldstein is renowned for her versatility and has captivated audiences worldwide with her unique artistry and moving performances. Goldstein has appeared as a soloist and collaborative pianist in the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, Korea, the Philippines, Europe, and Israel. Among her most notable performances are with the Berlin Symphony, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Da Camera Orchestra in Mexico City. A board member of the American Liszt Society (ALS) and founding president of its New York chapter, she has been a frequent guest artist at the ALS annual festivals in the U.S. and Canada. She has also performed at festivals such as Amalfi Coast, La Jolla, Yellow Barn, Sonus, Summit, Colburn, OpusFest, Jewish music festivals in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and London, and the Israel Festival.
Gila Goldstein is a highly sought-after educator and has given numerous masterclasses in the U.S., China, Korea, and Israel. She is a piano faculty member at the Longy School of Music in Boston and a guest piano professor at Changzhou University in China. A strong advocate for the music of Israel’s foremost composer, Paul Ben-Haim, Ms. Goldstein has recorded two volumes of his complete works for piano and chamber music on the Centaur label. In 2024, Centaur also released her recording Latin American Piano Gems. She earned her music degree in piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Professor Nina Svetlanova, and from Tel Aviv University’s School of Music, where her teacher was Professor Victor Derevianko. Both of her teachers were disciples of the legendary pianist and pedagogue Heinrich Neuhaus.
