Konex Classical Music Festival: Celebrating Bizet and the Great French Composers

The Konex Foundation presents the ninth edition of its prestigious Konex Classical Music Festival, which this year will be dedicated to Georges Bizet and the great French composers. This unique event, to be held at the Ciudad Cultural Konex and with a special performance at the National Museum of Decorative Arts, promises three Gala Nights featuring high-level performances and affordable tickets for the public.

The 9th Konex Classical Music Festival will offer a selection of works by iconic composers such as Bizet, Debussy, Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Offenbach, Poulenc, Delibes, Gounod, and Massenet, among others. The festival will include:

Opera Gala: An evening at the National Museum of Decorative Arts with pieces by Bizet, Delibes, Offenbach, Gounod, and Massenet, performed by renowned singers and pianists.
Symphonic Concert: Conducted by maestro Mario Perusso, the orchestra will perform a repertoire showcasing the best of French music.
Ballet Gala: Choreographies by Anabella Tuliano, Marcia Haydée, Paul Vasterling, and Emanuel Abruzzo, with works by Bizet, brought to life by figures from the Teatro Colón, Teatro Argentino de La Plata, and Grupo Cadabra.

Opera Gala & Benefit Cocktail

Venue: National Museum of Decorative Arts (Av. del Libertador 1902, Buenos Aires)
Artists: Pianist Eduviges Picone and singers Alejandra Malvino, Marina Silva, Enrique Folger, Cristian Maldonado, and Gastón Oliveira Weckesser.
Beneficiary: SOIJAR Foundation (Argentine System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras).

Symphonic Concert
- Date: Saturday, October 5th, 7:00 PM
- Venue: Ciudad Cultural Konex (Sarmiento 3131, Buenos Aires).
- Orchestra: Conducted by Mario Perusso.

Ballet Gala

Date: Sunday, October 6th, 7:00 PM
Venue: Ciudad Cultural Konex (Sarmiento 3131, Buenos Aires).
Choreography: Emanuel Abruzzo and others.

History of the Konex Classical Music Festival

Since 2015, the Konex Classical Music Festival has presented great masters of classical music in each edition, reaffirming its commitment to culture and the formation of new audiences. Every year, the festival focuses on a specific theme or composer, such as Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and in 2024, it is dedicated to Bizet and French music. Additionally, the festival includes an educational show for public school students, aimed at introducing classical music to younger generations.
