The magazine and website MusicaClasicaBA was born out of a specific need within the realm of Argentine culture, which pointed to the absence of an independent space for reflection on local and global classical music. That’s why those of us who make up MusicaClasicaBA decided, 8 years ago, to open a blog to share our thoughts with the world.
Throughout this time, MusicaClasicaBA has steadily grown. It not only found the eagerness of an attentive and committed audience but also added texts from invaluable professionals within the field of classical music. And perhaps, one of the most important points to highlight, is the support that artists offered to conduct wonderful interviews. Among the stars, both local and international, who graced the cover of the magazine are: Zubin Mehta, Joyce DiDonato, Bruno Gelber, Sol Gabetta, and more…
Over time, there emerged the need to create a calendar that centralizes classical music events at the local level (and with the pandemic, and the advent of streaming) at the international level. Today, it is one of the most visited sections within MusicaClasicaBA. The audience enthusiastically expressed the value of the calendar, so from that moment on (and until today), they also receive it via email through the MusicaClasicaBA newsletter.
Thanks to the support of sponsors, MusicaClasicaBA now has 10 printed magazines (with their online versions available) and over 20 digital magazines. The website features more than 200 musician profiles and continues to grow every day. Every day, we upload news about the world of classical music to our page (with an average of 15 thousand monthly visits), all completely free of charge.

Today, MusicaClasicaBA holds the declaration of Cultural Interest from the Teatro Colón and the Ministry of Culture of Argentina. In 2019, it was selected as one of the 7 most important cultural projects in the country by Samsung Innova, and in 2021, the Patronage of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires declared the project of cultural interest.
MusicaClasicaBA is a self-managed platform composed of individuals committed to the world of classical music and its dissemination. To consistently provide quality service, it is necessary to be financially solvent. Therefore, it is crucial to have the support of our readers.
